While you're waiting for your goodies to arrive, start collecting recycling for your kids to be creative with! This has been my GO TO during all of this home time. Aubrey is wanting to "Create 24/7" and having a bin of recycling helps cushion how fast she burns through supplies sometimes. And what better time to start than with EARTH DAY!? You can talk to your kids about reusing and re-purposing things to create less waste while letting their imaginations run wild.
Egg Cartons seem to be our most used! I had shared this caterpillar a while back on our Facebook Page, but this is created using one long half of an Egg Carton:
Just paint with some washable paint and stick some pipe cleaners and googly eyes on it!
Then today during our "Earth Day" festivities, we made these fun Egg Carton Flowers!
For these, I cut the egg cartons for her into 4 piece sections. She painted them with Washable Paint and then once they were dry, I helped her hot glue a Pom Pom to the center and straw to the back. SUPER easy but she got a total kick out of it!

When all of that crafting makes you tired, time to refuel with a fun Earth Day Snack! We made Worms and Dirt. I'm sure there's not a mom out there that doesn't know what these are, nothing super clever, but they are PERFECT for the occasion! Aubrey liked making them as much as eating them.
If you haven't ever made these before, you just lay some gummy worms down in the cup, top with chocolate pudding and crumple up oreos to sprinkle on top. Add another worm for garnish!
TIP: Target brings App purchase orders right out to your car for FREE and doesn't increase the merchandise price at all. The gummy worms and pudding 4 pack pre-made were each just .99! Cheap and Safe to Grab Quarantine Snack.
Hope y'all have fun celebrating Earth Day!
